Since when does one company get to make the rules for everyone else on the planet?
Only on the internet can one person, sitting alone in an office in Palo Alto get to create rules that affect everyone else on the planet.
It’s just not fair.
I have every right to earn a living and I have every right to do what’s best for me and my websites.
Of course I’m talking about Google’s AdSense program and their simplistic policies. I’ve been burned by the Google slap more than once and I’m getting tired of having to jump through hoops just to make a profit.
I’ve recently learnt something that put a huge smile on my face and something that I’m sure would make those of you who are sick of Google’s big brother attitude as well.
Did you know that AdSense has competition on the internet? Seriously, there are companies out there who have advertising networks that can compete with AdSense. What’s better is that these companies are clamoring for our business. They are fighting for position against each other and by doing so, they are creating a completely customer friendly environment.
What I mean to say is this, these AdSense competitors want our business and they are willing to bend over backwards to get it. I’m talking about nice, friendly customer service. Competitive prices. No smart prices. Dedicated, knowledgeable staff that will work with you to make sure your site is properly monetized. Sounds great, right?
The question is though, how do we know which company has the best policies and which company can best service our needs?
I can tell you that I’ve checked into a number of alternative advertising networks and there are a lot of different programs that offer a lot of different services. It’s a good idea to do your research and find the program that was created for your type of site.
To those of you who don’t have the time, patience or knowledge to do your own research, Adsense Alternatives is a company that has done it for you. They’ve compiled a list of the best advertising networks and present it in a clear and concise manner.
If you hate the limitations that AdSense requires as much as I do, I’d recommend checking them out.
